
Jia Zhang

ABOUT ME:
My name is Jia Zhang, a Ph.D. Candidate in Graduate Institute of Information and Computer Education of the National Taiwan Normal University, and a member of the Intelligent Interactive Technology Learning Laboratory (IITL). I received my M.C.S. from National Taiwan Normal University in 2010, and also received double degree in Industrial Technology Education and Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) in 2008. From 2005 till 2006, I worked with Ya-lun Qu as a software developer in The College Entrance Examination Center (CEEC). From 2009 till 2012, I was an adjunct research assistant in the Intelligent Tutoring System Laboratory. Now, I'm Ph.D. Candidate, leads three Government-sponsored research projects in IITL, and also a visiting scholar at the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Institute at Carnegie Mellon University in the United States of America, researching and developing adaptive augmented reality systems.
My research interests span most aspects of Augmented Reality and Mobile Learning. This includes image recognition, real-time AR-based learning, learning behavior prediction in AR environment, as well as augmented learning environment developing. My recent emphasis is using image recognition technology to enhance the augmented reality application effect of education.
